Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To see carrier rates, the quote tool only needs your gender, birth date, current health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and term length. Your name, phone and email are only requested if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes shown are the premiums each carrier would charge for the underwriting class you selected. After you apply, the carrier determines your actual class through underwriting, which may result in a better rate, confirm the quoted rate, or assign a different class. Quotes on this site are estimates for information only and do not constitute an insurance offer or price guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
Selecting Apply launches a secure online application that is prefilled with your answers. The application runs on the carriers' application platform and is processed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129). You may pause and resume your application at any point, and you sign everything electronically.
Will I need a medical exam?
Requirements vary by carrier, coverage amount and your health profile. Several carriers now offer expedited underwriting paths that skip the exam for qualified applicants within their limits. The quote details show whether an exam requirement is firm, possible, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term should extend through the years when a family or business would face hardship if your income disappeared: a mortgage balance, dependent children, loans backed by your income. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years but cost more per month. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms from every carrier side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool collects no personal identifying information, our privacy policy prohibits selling or sharing visitor data, and our measurement system is cookieless. Visit the privacy page to see exactly what information is collected and by whom.
